FTS has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Pricing Specialist in Chantilly, VA.
The Senior Pricing Specialist will have overall responsibility for pricing and compliance activities of various sizes and complexity for assigned proposals.
Responsibilities
- Lead cost/price proposal strategy, planning, and volume preparation in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
- Prepare and modify complex spreadsheets
- Coordinate effectively with the Proposal Manager, technical staff, subcontractors, and other associates to ensure that required cost data are thorough, accurate, and submitted on schedule
- Write clear and compliant cost narratives to respond to requests for proposals and/or clients
- Provide pricing guidance to proposal and business development teams to ensure pricing strategies are in accordance with the requirements
- Communicate pricing requirements, collect basis of estimate (BOE) data, present proposal status, and review pricing iterations
- Provide contract management on small efforts post award
Required Skills/Qualifications
- TS/SCI
- BS/BA degree in a related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience developing pricing proposals
- Familiarity with contract types, including firm fixed price, time and materials (T&M), cost-plus, and IDIQ contracting, as well as a diverse range of customers, including the intelligence community
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Knowledge of cost estimating techniques
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple proposals at a time
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Must have flexibility to work increased hours, possibly above normally scheduled, to meet proposal deadlines; this is often unpredictable and deadlines may be compressed to meet government schedule requirements
