How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
As an SAP Analyst – Production & Assembly, you will report directly to the IT Director of SAP Global Solutions. You will be responsible for supporting the existing SAP ECC 6.0 solution that drives the daily business processes of SPX Cooling Tech LLC, a global manufacturer of HVAC equipment. You will focus on the SAP processes supporting our global SAP manufacturing and production planning. You will serve as the IT department’s SME in SAP production planning, control & MES data integration. You will also lead or contribute to projects & continuous improvement actions to support our growth & digital transformation.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
Your core responsibilities will be:
- Production Order life cycle management for our factories, including automated fabrication for light gauge steel via cutting and bending, semi-finished goods via assembly or processing, and external operations.
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes for our fabrication, assembly & distribution facilities, supporting planning of product lines across multiple plants and vendors.
- Support data integration from SAP to our MES systems.
- Support our transition from backflushing all production components to a hybrid model.
- Support our transition from single step confirmations to operational confirmations.
- Contribute to our technical publishing upgrade by integrating SAP data & objects based on the customer’s product configuration.
- Collaborate with our SAP PLM and DMS application teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production SAP environments.
- Provide SAP application support and status updates to end users via SPX enterprise IT service desk application and any vendor-managed application support services, where applicable.
- Provide project support and produce project deliverables as required from project teams.
- Produce functional & technical specifications to support application development by SPX enterprise IT or third parties.
- Understand and follow SPX change and release management processes.
What we are looking for (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education)
We are looking for someone who has:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- SAP ERP Production Planning & Control applications experience, minimum of 5 years.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, or other relevant subject area.
- Experience in SAP implementations focused on manufacturing & assembly processes.
- Skills to combine the multi-level planning of our finished goods with material & sales forecasts.
- Ability to work in a large organization, building business partnerships and strategic relationships with key users.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
CERTIFICATION/OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Total Quality Management, Lean Thinking, Value Stream Mapping.
- Cross-functional workflow process mapping (e.g. Visio).
- Work experience in manufacturing & distribution.
- Experience in global organizations and remote work teams.
