Our client, a leading IPP in solar and energy storage, is looking for a Senior M&A Manager to join their finance team.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with Head of M&A and Chief Investment Officer
* Identify and evaluate project, portfolio and platform acquisition targets for solar and battery storage
* Lead preliminary screening efforts for potential acquisitions
* Manage acquisition or sale processes from end-to-end, including valuation, risk analysis, bid/sale recommendation, transaction structuring, negotiations, documentation and closing
* Drive financial model development and valuation, including sensitivity scenarios
* Collaborate cross-functionally on diligence workstreams, including but not limited to development, legal, structured finance & tax
* Lead market intelligence efforts and prepare quarterly updates on industry themes, trends and competitive intelligence
Qualifications
* 4-6 years of relevant finance experience required (preferably in the renewable energy industry); investment banking, principal investing and/or corporate M&A experience is strongly preferred
* In-depth understanding of renewable energy project financing concepts, including tax equity
* Quantitative background with strong financial analysis and modeling and negotiation skills
* Leadership ability and a passion for providing mentorship, guidance and training to junior colleagues on the team
