Summary:
This is an ideal position for an ambitious motivated individual who has some experience in pipeline geoscience and onshore surveying, and who is interested in developing their technical and project skills with a growing engineering company.
Purpose:
Fully qualified engineer/technologist/scientist. Carries out responsible and varied assignments requiring general familiarity over a broad field of engineering/design/science. Problems solved by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Participates in the planning phase of projects as well as the execution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical & engineering support to multi-disciplinary teams.
- Make significant and innovative contribution to pipeline infrastructure developments.
- Provide support to project fieldwork (including serving as the client representative during surveys).
- Provide discipline checking for the pipeline designers creating centerline details and alignment sheets in Civil 3D.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Client facing regarding project requirements, technical requirements, progress, and outputs.
- Must be comfortable / skilled in conducting technical meetings / reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in project team meetings and attend meetings with third parties/clients, as required.
- Perform analysis, calculation & interpretation, using "tools" ranging from spreadsheets to analytical/numerical models and other in-house software (e.g. TerraModel, AutoCAD, ESRI GIS, etc.).
- Must be able to process various types of data and create workable formats for other team members (including survey, LIDAR, Drone, etc.).
- Ability to create WebMap tools for projects to support client and internal team needs.
- As relevant - Prepare reports, briefing notes, and other technical deliverables and maintain relevant project documentation and records.
- Other tasks as required in support of the Company's technical work and directed by the line manager.
What you will bring:
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years pipeline geoscience experience.
- Experience with pipelines, or powerlines and fiber lines is essential.
- Ability to provide technical survey support to multi-disciplinary teams.
- Analytical skills & research ability.
- Exposure to and Use of, GIS systems required.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Preferred:
- Degree in a geoscience or geotechnical/civil/survey engineering subject.
Additional information:
- This position is to be located in the Englewood/Denver, CO area.
- Salary: $77,547 - $114,040 commensurate with experience.
