We are seeking a Staff Accountant who will assist and support the Senior Accountant and Controller with financial accounting, ad hoc projects, controls, process reviews, and accounting period closes. This role will report directly to the Senior Accountant.
What You'll Do
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close processes, including general ledger accounting and preparing journal entries
- Account for all incoming cash including customer payments
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve financial discrepancies
- Perform AR administrative tasks
- Play an integral role in managing relationships and completion of work with external auditors
What You'll Need
- Associate degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
- Detail oriented
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical and math skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize
- Ability to work independently
