Position Salary Range: $115,000-$125,000 DOE
Concrete Pumping Holdings (“CPH”) is the leading provider of concrete pumping services and concrete waste management services in the United States (“U.S.”) and the United Kingdom (“U.K.”), primarily operating under the only established, national concrete pumping brands in both geographies – Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping, Inc. (“Brundage-Bone”) for concrete pumping in the U.S., Camfaud Group Limited (“Camfaud”) in the U.K., and Eco-Pan, Inc. (“Eco-Pan”) for waste management services in both the U.S. and U.K. The Brundage-Bone business was founded in 1983 in Denver, Colorado. Since then, the Company has expanded across the U.S. and U.K. through more than 60 acquisitions. Eco-Pan was founded in 1999 and Camfaud was acquired in 2016.
This is a highly visible position, with reporting responsibility to Controller, at our corporate office in Denver, CO. If you possess a “can do” attitude then this position is for you
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage accurate and timely completion of the monthly, quarterly and year-end processes
- Supervise, develop and evaluate accounting staff with a view of maximum efficiency and productivity, develop them by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong relationships
- Make recommendations for improvements after assessing current practices and procedures
- Prepare and analyze complex account reconciliations (e.g. Cash, AR, Revenue)
- Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by the staff to ensure accuracy
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform analysis on ad hoc projects as requested by other departments/branches
- Evaluate accounting operations, policies/procedures, and systems for SOX compliance with standards and internal controls to prevent errors and maintain the highest level of integrity in the company’s financial management activities.
- Assist in quarterly and year-end financial audit activities
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience in the accounting field or a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, MBA or equivalent preferred
- CPA required
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience in a supervisory/management role
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
- Develop, track, and analyze employee KPIs and make recommendations for improvement
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
