SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under direct supervision of the Treasury and Insurance Specialist, the Financial Analyst/Accountant will perform general accounting, financial analysis, treasury support, risk management, systems administration, and executive support.
I. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected)
- Facilitate treasury and cash management functions, including but not limited to, daily cash preparation, deposit checks, upload checks, wire and ACH payments and weekly investment reports.
- Manage end-to-end Bank Account process, which includes opening and closing of bank accounts, completion of KYC processes and updating data in our internal banking depository system.
- Manage end-to-end Bank Account process for over 40+ banking partners, which includes opening and closing of bank accounts, completion of all regulatory and legal documents and updating data in our internal banking depository system.
- Facilitate risk management functions including, but not limited to, gathering data for annual insurance policies, and maintaining risk improvement schedules.
- Support Global Tax, Treasury, and Insurance projects.
- Support Corporate Accounting and Finance department.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
II. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: The Financial Analyst/Accountant must be able to deal effectively in a global, multicultural, matrixed organization and will have cosmopolitan working relationships including dealing with executives and employees located outside of the United States, and with some potential for interaction with customers and suppliers.
III. COMMUNICATIONS
ORAL: Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex matters and data in a clear and professional manner to internal and external parties.
WRITTEN: The Financial Analyst/Accountant must have the ability to communicate complex or technical issues clearly and concisely in a non-technical manner. The Financial Analyst must be able to prepare understandable and effective (i) reports, emails, and letters to various persons within the Company and (ii) communications to counterparts with Company suppliers to resolve problems.
IV. SCHEDULING AND PLANNING: The Financial Analyst/Accountant must be able to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects and manage a high volume of varied and complex projects in concert with his/her supervisor. The Financial Analyst/Accountant should be able to effectively participate in projects with other departments and functions within the Company, meeting all assigned deadlines.
V. BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance (with 12 hours of advanced accounting course work)
- 0-2 years’ experience
- CPA, CMA or working towards
OTHER SKILLS: Accuracy and attention to detail, aptitude for numbers, quantitative skills and systems, knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles, basic knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and the aptitude to rapidly learn.
HELPFUL: Any ERP system experience, SAP preferred, general business knowledge and related curiosity, second language, ability to work in team environment on unstructured problems, personal initiative.
