Job Description
We are seeking a financial manager/budget analyst that has a strong working knowledge of the day-to-day budget execution activities in an FM office. This position is on-site supporting DTRA, a Department of Defense Agency located near Ft. Belvoir, VA.
The ideal person will be a team player with excellent organizational and communication skills. Should be very familiar with the day-to-day operations within a U.S. Defense Agency's Financial Management office. Primary activities include the development of daily financial execution charts and reports, developing new reports, working quick reaction financial management related taskings on an ad hoc basis, balancing daily budget lines for budgetary reprogrammings, spend plan reconciliations of planned vs actual, and other finance office items.
Qualifications
- At least five years of service/Agency specific financial management or program analyst experience (USA, USAF, USMC, USN, Defense Agencies) and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Demonstrated experience creating MS Office tools, decision papers, training, policy memos, marketing campaigns, metrics and other forms of analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with preparing, understanding and presenting budget execution reports against OSD benchmark goals is required.
- Working knowledge of the PPBE process including budget exhibits/docs.
- Bachelor's degree with five years of direct experience or equivalent.
- Current Secret level security clearance is required.
