The Manager, Risk Reporting and Business Analysis role holds responsibility for the daily reporting and analysis of transactions, including trading activity of the front office teams. This position develops, implements, and maintains risk positions, trading data, and derivative compliance. This position maintains daily gross profit estimates and coordinates with the accounting and front office functions to ensure accurate forecasting and monthly reporting. This role plays a key role in helping the organization accomplish its operational and financial objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving risk management, control, and earnings analysis.
JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for assessment, computation, and distribution of organization’s daily risk reporting packages, including but not limited to daily risk exposure and MtM reporting.
- Responsible for linking risk reporting data to financial gross profit estimates.
- Supports VP of Supply with oversight of operational team, including but not limited to facilitating process improvements needed to support daily transactional activity being recorded timely and accurately to allow for timely risk assessment and robust risk reporting.
- Works collaboratively with various stakeholders across all levels of the organization on various analysis requests.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in a risk management role with proven ability to assess, capture, and effectively communicate data which represents risk.
- Strong business acumen with proven ability to link operational transactions to financial accounting records.
- Fuels industry knowledge preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of risk management assessment and control evaluation.
- Strong analytical mind with proven problem-solving aptitude required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to self-manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment.
