The primary objective of the Financial Analyst at Sage Hospitality Group is to strategically support the Hotel and Restaurant operations with reporting and analysis to help drive profitability and optimization. The goal is to maximize asset value and returns on investment for our owners and equity partners.
Responsibilities
- Identify and create consistent reporting package to assess portfolio’s results
- Use trend analysis and forward looking outliers to identify areas of opportunities
- Create a package of internal and external benchmarking reports to drive profitability
- Evaluate operational metrics to prioritize initiatives and capital investments to generate the greatest impact across hotels and restaurants
- Execute value-add analysis and decision support for projects and initiatives
- Drive hotels and restaurants’ financial performance through continuous review and monitoring of hotel and restaurant monthly and annual results, providing feedback to the appropriate Leadership Teams, and suggesting adjustments when appropriate to drive efficiency
- Leverage technology and third parties where appropriate
- Demonstrated experience with report creation, optimization, and adoption but also with analyzing output for key takeaways and insights
- Drive process improvements aimed at creating scalability and efficiencies
- Develop effective analytical process and culture with comprehensive metrics and reporting processes
- Influence all partnership relationships through motivation, communication and positive team synergies and leadership
- Strong curiosity in tackling complex business problems; dives deeply into the data, relentlessly pursues what it means, and how these insights drive decision making
- Comfortable operating in financial systems and spreadsheets, and equally comfortable leveraging his/her capabilities to work independently
- Participate and maintain active company and community relations while taking part in corporate activities and meetings
Qualifications
- 3 years of related FP&A experience with demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis
- Strong computer and problem solving skills including ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and understand financial statements
- Possesses solid critical thinking and relentless desire for data governance, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills; ability to identify message points and messaging opportunities
- Proactive, independent, forward-thinking, trustworthy, and hands-on finance professional
- Ability to manage internal associates at all levels of the organization
- A dynamic team player who is a quick study and can think creatively and effectively challenge existing practices
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities
- A record of accomplishment and excellence
- Highly collaborative team approach to work
- Ability to train and interact with management and associates
