Essential duties:
- Analyzing data about company’s operational costs
- Develop and analyze cost standards
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Inventory management interaction with material consumption.
- Collect cost information and maintain database
- Prepare cost forecast for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules
- Maintain records, general ledger accounts and assist month-end and year-end close process.
- Perform, review and analyze a broad range of complex accounting activities in order to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Analyze expenses to evaluate cost opportunities
- Evaluate current workflow to recommend changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Assist with External Financial Audit and follow up audit recommendations
- Identify efficiencies and improvements in current accounting practices
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst or similar role
- Ideally 5+ years of relevant work experience in accounting firms – audit firm.
- Experience on managing Financial Audits
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including GAAP/IFRS and SOX compliance.
- Cost Accounting experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with ERP implementation is a plus.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
