We have a company seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst with 4+ years of experience to join their growing civil engineering firm. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This individual will collaborate closely with project management teams, helping to drive the financial performance of the company’s various infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, providing financial insights to support business growth and project planning.
- Monitor project budgets and actual performance, analyzing cost drivers and identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management, including variance analysis and key financial metrics.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition based on contract terms, project completion, and percentage-of-completion accounting methods.
- Support capital expenditure planning and provide detailed cash flow analysis for ongoing projects.
- Work closely with project managers, operations, and other key departments to align financial goals with project objectives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to support business decision-making, including scenario modeling and financial forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably within the engineering or construction industries.
- Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost tracking.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
