As a Database Controller, you will be responsible for compiling data and developing databases to meet operational needs and maintaining Microsoft (MS) Access database applications. This includes the administration of all systems and databases for Retail Accounting as well as providing software related technical support and immediate problem resolution for issues related to operational databases.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in an Information Technology related field or equivalent analytical experience
- 4 years of experience with integrated systems
- 4 years of experience performing advanced functions within MS Office applications
- 4 years of experience with database development
- Advanced computer and electronics knowledge including experience with hardware, software, and computer systems and processes
- In-depth advanced knowledge of MS Access database design techniques, tools, and principles including knowledge of SQL/pass-through queries, Visual Basic programming, and development of complex formulas and expressions
- Analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate creativity in problem solving
- Strong mathematic and critical analytical thinking ability using logic and reasoning
- Ability to have self-discipline and work independently
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and work more than 40 hours per week as needed
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL Code
- Knowledge of the following:
- SAP
- SharePoint
- HOST
- Teradata
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field or equivalent analytical experience
- 6 years of experience with integrated systems
- 6 years of experience performing advanced functions within MS Office applications
- 6 years of experience with database development
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
- High level knowledge of I/S processes interacting with the department
- High level knowledge of Corporate Accounting department functions and processes
- General knowledge of regulations including HIPAA, PCI, PII requirements
- General knowledge of SOX requirements
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Mini-FETCH
- Fintech Recon system
- PAMS (Publix ATM Scheduling)
- PETS (Publix Electronic Transaction System)
- SACT (Store Accounting)
- PASSport
- Oasis (support and retail)
- WIMS (Warehouse Management System)
- DIMS (DSD Management System)
- PIMS (Product Information Management System)
- ODBC (Open Data Base Connectivity)
