Job Responsibilities:
This job is responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative impacts to the customer experience. Key responsibilities include utilizing a variety of systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational databases to provide analytical support on strategies, ensure goals are met, and propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures to produce optimal results. Job expectations include evaluating data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Recommends ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions using data analysis outputs.
- Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance.
- Leads coordination of the production of product performance reports and updates for senior management.

Required Skills:
- 3+ years of SQL/SAS Coding experience.
- Several years of strategic analysis and/or related experience.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Product and Product SOR - Prior knowledge and experience with Consumer (card/deposit) and Small Business (card/deposit) products including types of fees, payment applications, interest calculation, rewards, statements.
- Ability to navigate in customer SOR (TSYS, Impact/BOSS, Rewards SuperStation) to confirm and research transactions.
- Technical Skills – Working knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide application, SQL Server, Sasgrid, and JAMS Client. Additional systems include Java, CSS, PowerShell, Visual Studios 2017, Horizon, and Python. Knowledge of databases including Teradata, W, Hadoop database structures including table organization, ability to identify key fields and data.
- Analytic Skills - Strong analytic skills including ability to analyze data to drive differentiated performance. Manage, structure, and consolidate large amounts of data (building in validation to ensure accuracy).
- Initiative – Drive the business to keep up with the latest technological strategies by taking initiative to make process improvement and implement automation where necessary. Intellectually curious and willing to dive into complete issues/problems and solve.
- Organizational Skills - Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and rapidly changing environment while maintaining high time management balance.
- Communication skills - Ability to present the data and communicate effectively (verbal and written) when presenting to executive level leadership. Includes the talent to translate complex quantitative concepts into common-sense terms and thinking.
- Partnering Skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Intellectually curious and willing to dive into complete issues/problems and solve.
- Business Process/Acumen – Advanced understanding of the businesses they support and the front-to-back impact of their processes. Comprehension of multiple product lines with product knowledge.
Desired Skills:
- Regulations – Knowledge of regulations impacting customer remediation (i.e. Reg Z, Reg B, Reg CC, Reg E, UDAAP).
- Remediation Processes - Ability to review existing remediation code and implement with minimal parameter changes.
- Familiarity with Remediation processes and tools (Fee Refund and Waiver Application).
- Proven history of applying creativity & logic to solve problems.
- Experience with Python and usage of more advanced analytical, visualization, and data extraction tools.
