The AR Analyst is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data to produce accurate and timely bills/credits to customers, to collect on past due amounts, to reconcile company ledger to customer’s ledger, and to support the Revenue team accounting processes and procedures conforming to the applicable principles of accounting and regulatory requirements in a global public company for an assigned book of customers.
This will be an onsite role in Brunswick, GA
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Review accuracy & completeness of supporting documentation & customer authorizations, from Operations & the Customer, necessary to begin the billing process.
- Manage & Record in General Ledger Customer(s’) Billing/Credits timely & accurately, including internal & external schedules as required.
- Analyze Customer Contracts & Agreements, & Properly issue Customer(s’) Bills/Credits accordingly.
- Analyze customer records & reconcile to company subsidiary ledger.
- Analyze, gather, & prepare reports in support of customer balance(s) to Revenue Controller for collection efforts.
- Review, analyze & document in general ledger & other schedules, collection efforts to ensure accuracy in billing.
- Provide details & instruction to Accounts Receivable Department for application of unapplied payments.
- Support Revenue Controller in collecting, compiling, & analyzing data.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- General knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Ability to work effectively & efficiently within a Remote Office Environment employing Microsoft 365 Applications & Tools
- Advanced user of Excel
- Aptitude to work in an Agile Environment where opportunities for change are continuously identified and acted upon
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements & make recommendations
- Advanced technology skills needed to quickly grasp concepts of various subsidiary ledger software systems
- Travel required
