The Research Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Library Resources and is responsible for providing research and reference services using electronic and print resources. The Research Analyst will work with attorneys and business professionals to provide research for various purposes, including client-related requests, presentations, articles, and business development activities, and will provide training, instruction, and support in research methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research across all practice groups and business services using electronic and print resources.
- Train and support attorneys and business professionals on the efficient use of firm resources.
- Respond to incoming library requests, ensuring strong communication, timeliness, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Assist with other research tasks and projects as required.
- Proactively stay abreast of new products and services and lead demos and trials, resource evaluations, and product recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of library experience, preferably within a law firm.
- Master’s Degree in Library Science or JD required.
- Proficient in Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg Law, Capital IQ, Intelligize, VitalLaw, and FactSet is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and library catalog software.
- Strong knowledge of library systems and workflows.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within and across departments.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
