Job Description:
L3Harris is looking for an experienced Program Master Planner who will be part of the Program Master Planning Department in SLC. Your primary function will be to support the Program Management Teams. This requires an in-depth knowledge of Program Life cycles. Duties include the management and development as well as maintenance of complex program schedules including resource loading and Earned Value Analysis. Individual will help develop the format, tools and tracking/reporting methods to be used as the company refines its Program Planning and Scheduling processes for standardization and enterprise wide resource management.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Program Management Office to develop tools and techniques for the creation of standard Integrated Master Schedules.
- Perform regular analysis of program schedules to evaluate program and enterprise wide resource needs.
- Develop integrated master schedules using SOW and WBS.
- Assist in schedule audits to ensure schedules are being properly maintained and updated by the project teams.
- Analyze and review subcontractor schedules and link subordinate schedules to the project schedule.
- Coordinate with Control Account Managers (CAM) and cross functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) members.
- Obtain and analyze data and status from affected organizations to prepare, update, and disseminate periodic project status reports.
- Perform audits of schedules for performance to plan variance.
- Work within a team environment to provide insights into program scheduling trends.
- Perform Monte Carlo Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) on key programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience directly related in Project Schedule and control required, primarily utilizing MS Project.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices, Project Planning/Coordination, and Production Scheduling.
- Able to work within tight deadlines and multi-task various projects in an organized manner.
- Prior experience in engineering and operations/manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and practices.
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written.
- Knowledge of MRP and scheduling principles and practices.
