Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst - Reporting will be responsible for delivering advanced financial insights through reporting to support strategic initiatives within the manufacturing plant. This role involves leveraging a strong finance background, an understanding of Management Information Systems or Computer Science programs, and exceptional reporting proficiency. The reporting process systematically aggregates and presents data using structured formats such as graphs and tables. This method of organization, leveraging predefined key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, facilitates a more transparent comprehension of ongoing developments and the capacity to effectively communicate intricate financial reports.
Essential Duties:
- Analyze historical and current financial data to assess the financial health of the manufacturing operations.
- Develop predictive financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Identify and analyze industry-specific trends and benchmarks to recommend strategic decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and alert stakeholders to any deviations from expected outcomes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for funding and investment opportunities.
- Develop departmental standards of work documents, process flow diagrams and engage in the improvement of internal controls.
- Drive operational results and discipline through the use of financial data.
- Additional projects and/or ad hoc analysis as requested.
- Support of the monthly financial close process.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree.
Essential Qualifications:
- Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions.
- Minimum of 6+ years of related experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of SAP (S/4), Oracle, or another fully integrated ERP systems.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and financial software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong customer service skills including excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of handling confidential information in a responsible manner.
- Responds to inquiries from Operations managers, production control, finance in a timely manner.
- Flexibility and Multi-tasking capabilities.
- Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
- Ability to collaborate and form teams.
- Ability to work with domestic and international teams.
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
- SAP (S4) super user with SAC experience.
