We are actively seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our clinical operations. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for problem-solving, and a passion for contributing to the improvement of healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Financial and Operational Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive financial and operational metric reports on daily, weekly and monthly bases, providing analytical reviews and actionable insights.
- Identify operational and reporting challenges and suggest problem-solving strategies to enhance performance.
- Data Analysis and Insight:
- Collaborate with operations teams and other departments to provide thoughtful reporting and data insights.
- Develop monitoring tools and processes for management teams, leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making.
- Workflow Optimization:
- Identify differences in operations workflows using comparable data and suggest strategies for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Detailed Data Analysis:
- Utilize analytical skills to work with data at a detailed level, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Present information in a big-picture format to various levels of the organization using charts, graphs and numerical reports to articulate findings.
- Communication of Findings:
- Communicate data findings in a clear and concise manner through emails, notes, and in-person presentations.
- Highlight pertinent information and valuable insights, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with teams to continually refine monitoring tools and adapt processes to changing operational needs.
- Interface with Finance, Accounting, Operational, Revenue Cycle, Population Health and Executive teams to stay up to speed on business trends and support operational and reporting needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with proficient to advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables, reference functions and working with large data sets.
- Ability to understand and communicate problems on macro and micro levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ Years working in analytical role with proven success particularly within healthcare or private equity-backed organizations.
- Advanced analytical modeling skills: SQL, Tableau, Power-BI, Power Query, data warehouse tools, etc.
- Familiarity with healthcare business models, revenue cycle processes, industry terminology and trends.
- Experience building reports and pulling information from EMRs. Athena experience is a plus.
