Summary:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant who is willing to take full responsibility in full-cycle financial accounting processes. This exciting role offers wide ranging experience across all areas of finance function within a renewable company that is in its growth phase and can offer a great development opportunity to a suitable candidate.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day finance responsibilities and supporting the team.
This is a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- End to end preparation and review of monthly accounts (including P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflows)
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
- Creating reporting packs and update on monthly basis
- Providing monthly variance analysis and commentary to Finance Director
- Banking covenants reporting (including updating banking models for actuals)
- Equity and external funding reconciliation
- Preparation of utilisation requests
- Keeping track of construction schedules and Lease payment schedules
- Preparation of business plans and cashflow packs
- Responsible for monthly cash forecasting
- Consolidating/Group reporting
- Accounting of Investments and Acquisitions
- Revenue compliance (RCT, VAT, VIES, Intrastat)
- Preparation and review of regulatory and statutory accounts
- Responsible for efficient interactions with auditors and senior personnel
- Assistance with implementing changes in the finance department as dictated by business needs
- Guide and oversee junior finance team members
- Working to tight deadlines.
Requirements:
Background and experience required:
- Min 3 years of solid financial accounting and business analysis experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Experience in energy renewable /construction advantageous.
- Experience in managing a team desirable (good coaching skills)
- Working knowledge of Accounts IQ platform advantageous
