We are currently seeking to add an Accounts Receivable Manager to our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington.
PBS is hiring an A/R Manager to collaborate with Project Managers and Project Administrators across our eight offices throughout Oregon and Washington. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing monthly account receivables, which involves handling payment applications, monitoring aging accounts receivable, and contributing to collection efforts. This position will start full time in office, but has the potential to transition to a hybrid, flexible schedule. Compensation: $28-36 hourly, full time in office, with benefits.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in business and accounting or contracting experience; or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel
- Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, with ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines, and be responsive and professional when dealing with sensitive, confidential material
- Ability to obtain Notary certification
- Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks.
Desirable Qualifications
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter cash receipts including checks, ACH, credit cards, and cash.
- Review and reconcile appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Process lien waiver forms.
- Oversee collections, encompassing tasks like placing initial calls and implementing secondary measures such as promissory notes and lien filings if necessary.
- Review bankruptcy notices, and handle miscellaneous tasks like vendor management systems, ACH notices, and third-party A/R audits.
- Support contracting and subcontracting by conducting client contract reviews and issuing insurance certificates, as well as reviewing vendor subcontracts and issuing task orders.
- Support Accounts Payable by entering and reviewing A/P transactions.
