Summary
The Senior (Sr.) Analyst, Supply Chain Finance provides key analytical and financial analysis, planning and reporting services and support to the Transportation team and other leaders within the Supply Chain Organization. Leads the day-to-day activities in regard to the reporting, planning and analysis for all domestic and import freight, direct to customer and other third-party transportation expenses. Provides support for various other strategic and joint venture opportunities via planning, forecasting, ad-hoc analysis and reporting. Manages the development of financial models and business-related analyses, performs research, and ensures accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data. Work closely with key Finance and other Business stakeholders to help establish forecasts and financial performance targets, be an active and engaged participant in identifying cost-saving projects and other continuous improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies in financial processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Provide Transportation management with accurate and predictive financial plans and forecasts. Understand cross-functional factors that affect forecasts and work with Transportation leaders to ensure all factors are sufficiently accounted for. Provide guidance for annual budgeting and monthly forecasting to Transportation leadership.
- Support any joint venture or other investment opportunities with on-going financial analysis, planning and forecasting.
- Evaluate key drivers and root cause(s) and provide meaningful analysis to explain financial performance and variances to target/commitments in weekly, monthly and annual reporting.
- Leads review of accounts at month end and prepares necessary accruals and entries, including all domestic and import freight expense components. In addition, perform reconciliation of other import costs as necessary to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Lead continuous improvement and change initiatives, partnering with cross-functional partners as needed. Serve as subject matter expert in processes and programs to train and support Supply Chain leaders and partners.
- Oversee various transportation related ad-hoc reporting and analysis requirements, including developing, analyzing, and presenting to Supply Chain, Finance and upper level management.
- Provide general support and assistance on any ad-hoc projects or tasks supporting the Supply Chain or other Business areas as deemed necessary.

- Complex Reasoning and understanding of operational and financial information
- Superior financial and business acumen
- Office 365 (Teams, Excel)
- TMS experience a plus
- SAP and Oracle EPM Experience a plus
Education & Experience
Education Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree (Major-Finance or Accounting)
Experience Minimum: 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis with an emphasis on supply chain
