Senior Director, Corporate Accounting
The Senior Director of Corporate Accounting will lead our corporate accounting functions and financial reporting activities ensuring accurate and timely reporting and compliance with accounting standards to support the Company's growth and strategic decisions. This position reports to the Treasurer and Corporate Controller.
Your Seat at the Table
Team Development & Leadership:
- Develop team members by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Foster a culture of high performance and accountability and create opportunities for professional growth within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the accounting and reporting processes, leveraging technology and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare accounting and financial reporting functions for ERP transformation and have the teams ready to operate in a new ERP environment.
Corporate Accounting:
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, overseeing reconciliations, journal entries, and consolidations across multiple entities, including international subsidiaries, in compliance with US GAAP.
- Implement and maintain sound accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Manage accounting for complex transactions such as new technical accounting guidance, acquisitions, and financing activities.
Financial Reporting:
- Lead the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including financial statements, management reports, and applicable external filings to comply with financing requirements.
- Manage the external audit and quarterly review processes and act as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Collaborate with broader finance team to provide accurate financial data for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning purposes.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing timely and accurate analysis to executive leadership.
What You Bring to the Table
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Accounting; CPA license required.
- Twelve or more years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large accounting teams, manage complex accounting transactions, and deliver continuous improvement gains.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance with a proven ability to apply GAAP in a manufacturing setting.
