Senior Financial Analyst - NYC Law Firm - A Hybrid work schedule is available - $105-120k

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare, consolidate, and summarize monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, including attorney and practice group performance metrics, profitability, and projected trends.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports and findings to partners, management, and other stakeholders
- Financial Modeling and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Analyze the impact of proposed business decisions on the firm's financial performance.
- Support partners in developing and managing client pricing strategies and budgets.
- Process Improvement:
- Recommend improvements to financial reporting policies, procedures, and practices.
- Streamline and automate financial reporting processes to improve efficiency.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Partner with attorneys, practice group leaders, and other departments to gather and interpret financial data.
- Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and legal industry accounting practices preferred.
