Job Title: Admissions Representative
Department: Undergraduate Admissions
Reports To: Director of Undergraduate Admissions
FLSA Status: Full-time, 12-months; exempt, but salaried
Time Requirements: 40+ hours per week in addition to nights and weekends as needed
Summary Description: Recruit students in a designated geographic territory to meet both an individual territory goal and an overall enrollment goal.
Functional Description:
- As an intentionally Christian academic community, Christian employees are hired to advance the mission of Carson-Newman as expressed in our strategic plan, Acorns to Oaks.
- Admissions Representatives build relationships with and serve as the University’s liaison to prospective students and families, high school guidance counselors, college access professionals, and other key stakeholders in an assigned recruitment territory to facilitate undergraduate enrolment growth at Carson-Newman University.
- Admissions Representatives review applications for admission based on university policies, communicate with prospective students and families, participate in campus visit experiences and other university recruitment efforts.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required
Experience: Experience in admissions, sales, marketing, or other customer service fields is preferred but not required.
