JOB PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, assists Accounting Management staff with the coordination and execution of the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions through a variety of activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizes and directs posting of entries in general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers.
- Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles general ledger accounts for monthly and year-end closings.
- Maintains controls to ensure that billing, revenue, and cash receipts are properly and timely recorded and reconciled.
- Reviews accounts receivables every month and follows up with appropriate parties on unpaid items.
- Acts as liaison with social workers, program management, and intake staff with respect to billing and collection issues.
- Prepares monthly and annual financial statements and related reports.
- Performs Balance Sheets and Income and Expense account analyses and reconciliations.
- Prepares annual premium proposals in conjunction with program and financial management.
- Prepares annual budgets in conjunction with program and financial management.
- Prepares quarterly and annual cost reports.
- Assists in planning, coordination, and preparation for annual certification audits and other audits as required.

Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, related field, or equivalent experience. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting department, preferably in health care.
- Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines timely and accurately.
- Track record of progressive responsibilities.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, strong communication skills, detail-oriented, self-starter.
- CPA is a plus.
Other:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Individuals must be able to sustain specific physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Standing – duration of up to 6 hours a day.
- Sitting/Stationary positions – sedentary position for a duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.
- Lifting/Push/Pull – up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items used in the job scope using OSHA guidelines.
- Bending/Squatting – must be able to safely bend or squat to perform the essential functions under the scope of the job.
- Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – must be able to maneuver stairs safely, climb up/down and walk to access work areas.
- Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools to complete essential job functions (i.e., typing, use of supplies, equipment, etc.).
- Sight/Visual Requirements – must be able to read documentation, papers, orders, signs, etc., and accurately type/write documentation.
- Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (language) Requirements – must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, co-workers, clients, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy.
- Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

Salary Range (Min-Max): $70,000.00 - $78,000.00
