Title: CapEx Project Manager
The CapEx Project Manager will provide detailed financial analysis for EdgeConnex's largest projects along with opportunities/risks and recommendations for Executive approval and sales opportunities. The individual hired will conduct big model forecasting and focus their efforts in project, cost, and budget management. This role heavily liaises with Procurement, as well as interfaces heavily with PMO and EdgeConnex's largest construction partner. This position reports to EdgeConnex's Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis working on a small team responsible for planning, budgeting, and forecasting analysis.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support EdgeConnex's financial responsibility towards the analysis of largest projects and strategic initiatives globally.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to gather relevant information and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Prepare and present comprehensive variance analyses comparing actual results to budget and forecast.
- Develop and maintain project level forecasts to support cash planning.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implementation of best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance Capex budget and reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines cross-functionally to drive projects/issues to closure.
- Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables.
- Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
- Proven ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers.
- Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; can cover all gamut of tasks required to 'get a job done.'
- Strong attention to detail.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (candidates with Master's degree or relevant certification are strongly encouraged to apply).
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships across departments.
- Candidates with knowledge of Data Center or Real Estate sectors, and understanding of market trends are strongly encouraged to apply.
