Harris is currently seeking a Staff Accountant in our Treasure Valley Offices!
As a Staff Accountant…
You will be expected to learn firm policies and procedures, and become proficient in all aspects of preparing financial statements and income tax returns, including firm standard workpaper preparation, trial balance work, evaluation of general ledger account balances, and recommendation of adjusting journal entries. You will progress to assume responsibility for financial statement compilation, review engagements, and segments of audits under the supervision of more experienced staff members. You will become proficient in the use of firm standard software such as CCH Axcess, Pfx Engagement, Knowledge Coach, Excel, Accounting Research Manager and other resources. You will also become proficient in the preparation of corporate, partnership, individual and other tax returns prepared by the firm, and will be required to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established deadlines.
This job requires:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in accounting, tax or related field
- High level of proficiency with Office 365, particularly Word and Excel
- Flexibility to travel on a regular basis to local clients and occasional out-of-town travel
- A positive team player attitude
