The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Mosaic’s support functions. This person will lead routine cost reporting, lead meetings with functional leadership and employees, and provide direct support to function Vice Presidents and their employees for ad hoc analysis and projects. In addition, this person will lead the global budget process for support functions, provide support for the strategic planning process, provide both support and leadership roles in a number of value-add projects and process improvements for the support functions.
What will you do?
- Lead routine reporting approaches for the various corporate support functions, which includes understanding the needs of the function leader and their respective managers. Lead routine meetings and gather, analyze, and present meaningful information. Maintain accountability for foundational reporting with special attention to the quality of information and analysis provided as well as the efficiency in which it is processed. Identify and lead process improvement efforts.
- Lead the budget and forecast processes for the global support functions. Leadership will be required to communicate with all levels of the organization, execute related process improvements, and meet the expectations for analysis of costs and FTE levels. Provide indirect support to the forecast, Strategic Planning process, and other deliverables required by the Finance Business Partnership Team.
- In working with the support functions, identify cost savings, service improvements, and other value-add opportunities. Gather information and create analysis that will yield improvements that are meaningful to customers.
- Build relationships and network with customers at all levels within the functional organizations to understand their perspectives on the Finance business partner role, which will lead to a deeper understanding of the functions and value-add ideas for improving the functions and the quality of our support.
What do you need for this role?
- Bachelor's degree required with major in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in finance or other related experience
- Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices
- Broad understanding of internal controls
- Experience with data analysis methodologies preferred
- Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain the “big picture” while also being able to “drill down” into the detailed analysis
- Ability to effectively work and build relationships with employees at all levels within the organization
