Renewable Asset Manager II Job Description
Job Summary
This role is responsible for broad asset ownership and execution of all major renewable commercial contracts. The principal duties and responsibilities require collaboration, organization, and cross-functional versatility to drive compliance and consistency within the Generation business unit and renewable energy industry. This role will be split with other asset managers who will have assigned projects within their area of responsibility.
Essential Functions
- All duties and responsibilities performed as an Asset Manager I plus:
- Control and own all contracts for all of Generation's renewable assets. Collaborate, negotiate, read, write, develop, analyze, and ensure compliance with these contracts.
- Ensure commercial and governmental obligations are met by tracking key milestones within the major agreements.
- Coordinate and lead regularly cadenced or impromptu meetings with stakeholders.
- Own and manage the document repository during the diligence process and post-construction.
- Generate weekly status reports for internal personnel and leadership.
- Own specific assigned asset management tasks within all schedules.
- Collaborate and create solutions with other internal departments.
- Document lessons learned from previous contracts to recommend future contract alignment with the business unit's needs.
Required Qualifications For Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- 2+ years renewable energy experience or 5+ years experience in NIPSCO Generation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and talent for accuracy and precision.
- Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contract language, and contract lifecycle.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to understand legal and financial implications.
- Strong proficiency in worksheet and word processing tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Valid Motor Vehicle License upon hire.
Renewable Asset Manager III
Essential Functions
- All duties and responsibilities performed as an Asset Manager II plus:
- Direct/Coach Asset Manager I level employee.
- Lead efforts to solicit proposals; negotiate contract terms and conditions; and recommend agreements for executive approval.
- Lead resolution of contract disputes.
- Create, modify, and execute both new and existing policies, procedures, and general orders.
- Lead the due diligence process by either self-completing or ensuring all tasks are completed to fruition.
- Create, build, and maintain vendor relationships.
Required Qualifications for Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- 4-6 years with 4+ years renewable energy experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and talent for accuracy and precision.
- Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contract language, and contract lifecycle.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to understand legal and financial implications.
- Strong proficiency in worksheet and word processing tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
Sr. Renewable Asset Manager
Essential Functions
- All duties and responsibilities performed as an Asset Manager III plus:
- Direct/Coach other Asset Manager employees and other personnel within the department.
- Act as an advisor on at least one renewable energy industry group (such as EPRI).
- General knowledge with project models and general renewable energy financial arrangements.
- Participate in decision-making process for the department.
- Act as a general Subject Matter Expert for our specific assets.
Required Qualifications for Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- 7+ years renewable energy experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and talent for accuracy and precision.
- Deep understanding of contracts, contract governance, contract language, and contract lifecycle.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to understand legal and financial implications.
- Strong proficiency in worksheet and word processing tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently.

Salary Range: $77,400.00 - $160,500.00
