The Senior Market Finance Analyst collects, analyzes and reports on various market data to connect financial outcomes with operational effectiveness. The Senior Market Finance Analyst work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Midwest Region is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner closely with our local market Provider Engagement, MRA, Clinical, & Contracting leadership to provide support through complex analytics and reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst role will also provide insights for financial opportunities for our Medicare Value-Based Providers. This role will have exposure to regional leadership and external exposure with healthcare providers in OH, IN, MI, KY, & WV.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with Regional Leadership by distilling complex financial and non-financial data into concise presentable information that drives managerial decision making.
- Extracts raw data from multiple databases such as SQL and efficiently summarizes that data.
- Exercises expertise in data storytelling and preparing data for presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 2+ years' experience in healthcare/finance/accounting or data analytics.
- 1+ years of working SQL knowledge.
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts/graphs, etc.).
- Ability to research, organize, and analyze data to support effective decision making.
- Strong self-starter with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical ability with a keen eye for details.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize daily workload and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and/or DRG codes.
- Exposure to healthcare either from the provider or payer side.
- Understanding of Medicare Advantage and/or the healthcare delivery system.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$76,800 - $105,800 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
