Role Overview:
The position of Manager, Accounting at Otis WHQ supports activities of the corporation and the Otis worldwide business units in ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC Financial Reporting & financial policies. This position will interface directly with Otis management, WHQ Controller, Treasury and FP&A departments, and Otis businesses.
Responsibilities include (and are not limited to):
- Support monthly close activities and quarterly footnote(s)
- Review and approve account reconciliations
- Prepare comparison of actuals results to forecast and budget
- Coordinate the annual Health and Welfare Plan, Pension, Savings audit deliverables by collecting and reconciling data, collaborating with business partners, ensuring 5500 reporting is accurate and filed timely with DOL
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley testing, SSAE18, and other compliance reporting requirements are met timely
- New roles and responsibilities as we continue to define and standardize across the Controller’s organization
Additional Information / experience required:
- Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience; CPA a plus
- Undergraduate degree in accounting / finance required.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience preferred
- Candidate should possess strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
This position provides exposure to US GAAP and accordingly the successful candidate will gain a strong knowledge of financial reporting issues from a US GAAP perspective.
This position provides frequent exposure to all levels of world headquarters and business unit staff and management.
