Job Summary
Now seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst/Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic, established team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing independent, objective assessments of complex commercial transactions and ensuring credit quality across a diverse portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience in credit risk management, and the ability to streamline processes to support business growth. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our loan processes and supporting both existing credit relationships and new business opportunities. This position involves managing loan processes, conducting credit analyses, and monitoring portfolio health through regular reviews and reporting. You’ll also assist in identifying risks, ensuring compliance with policies, and recommending actions aligned with the risk profile of each relationship.
Duties
- Coordinate and streamline the loan process to facilitate approvals, reporting any issues to the Credit Manager.
- Administer and monitor 30+ day delinquencies, risk rating processes (CARs), and identify red flags within the portfolio, escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct underwriting and credit analysis as required.
- Monitor exception, covenant, and delinquency reports weekly, addressing any portfolio issues or irregularities.
- Conduct annual reviews of credit relationships and recommend risk rating changes as appropriate.
- Provide support on new business by reviewing preliminary data and ensuring documentation requirements are met.
- Track and monitor loan policy exceptions and verify compliance with covenants.
- Monitor delinquent loans and recommend appropriate actions, reporting status to the Credit Manager.
- Conduct site visits and project inspections when necessary.
- Stay current on industry and market trends by attending seminars and training sessions.
- Assist in other department tasks as needed, especially during periods of vacation or absenteeism.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures related to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other AML-related issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or 9 years of portfolio management experience in lieu of education.
- Formal credit training is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in lending, credit analysis, and loan underwriting.
- Solid understanding of bank documentation, credit procedures, and various banking products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Salesforce, nCino, and FIS IBS are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
