Plans and directs the accounting activities for the Kansas City office of Barts Electric. Directs, oversees, and manages the accounting activities of conducting credit and collections and accounts receivable functions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
- Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
- Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
- Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
- Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
- Establishes credit limitations on customer accounts and handles special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment.
- Reviews collection reports to determine status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
- Delegates authority for receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments as appropriate.
- Prepares cash flow and other financial reports for management.
- Develops policies and procedures for account collections.
- Directs computation of pay according to company policy.
- Directs compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as 401(k), medical, dental, and insurance payments.

- 3+ years experience in all areas of Accounting - AP/AR/PR.
