Who You Are
As a Program Management - Subcontract Manager, you'll be seasoned at collaborating and communicating cross-functionally, building consensus and shaping opinions of multiple subcontractors. Your responsibilities will be fairly expansive with coordination between the F-35 Program Office, as well as, the Subcontract Teams in Global Supply Chain. This individual should have strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to lead with agility - this is a very dynamic role!
What You Will Be Doing
Manage subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs. Direct and manage all costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and are required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution. Act as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
Responsibility for and direction of all phases of the subcontract; from initiation of the business case for 'make or buy' decisions through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability and program execution. Make decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor. Establish milestone objectives and manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Lead team normally composed of engineers, quality and procurement personnel.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Experienced in program management and/or supply chain management with responsibilities in managing complex subcontract/PO negotiations and solved complex issues associated with subcontract execution. Experience collaborating effectively across multiple functional areas. Experience leading teams. Experience collaborating and communicating cross-functionally, building consensus and shaping/influencing opinion. Advanced Microsoft Office suite of applications. Travel and manage supply base to include up to 10% travel (both domestic and/or international travel). Ability to secure a Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience as a strategic thinker with regard to the F-35 program management and subcontracts responsibilities in order to identify risks and proactively mitigate said risks. Knowledge of FAR/DFARs and DoD procurement policies and practices. Professional communicator and a team leader; as this person will be responsible for building great relationships with supplier leaders, LM Aero counterparts, and some JPO (customer) personnel. Advanced Project management experience, to execute complex project planning. Create solutions for complex procurement challenges and present those solutions to senior leaders and customers.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
