Northrop Grumman CIO is seeking a Principal (Level 3) Systems Software Analyst at our Elkton, MD location. This position will be primarily on site, with occasional hybrid work from home.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze, enhance, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide operating systems for both new and existing systems.
- Develop requirements, workflow, and systems analysis.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities.
- Establish standards for the development and maintenance of new and existing products.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, meet with team members and users to develop solutions.
- Provide real time gathering of inputs from the manufacturing work centers, document and track each item to closure within the requirements of change control process.
- Share a rotating schedule for 'on call' support over nights, weekends, and holidays with other team members.
- Work with external suppliers by developing statements of work and monitoring progress in regular intervals, validating product and authorizing payment.
- Support the development of cost baselines, ROI and other productivity tracking tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience OR a High School diploma or equivalent with 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
- The selected candidate will be required to analyze and validate the performance and validity of interfaces and supporting system software to specified system requirements.
- Working under general direction, provide technical solutions consistent with organizational objectives and business processes.
- Responsible to prioritize work, perform work independently and within a team. Ability to receive guidance from senior technical teammates.
- Represent the organization to other business groups, provide sound technical understanding and commit to performance within the margins of the system capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) preferably Solumina applications.
- Experience with Shop Floor Scheduling tools, preferably Synchrono.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Development of action plans based on data analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, gathering data from the manufacturing floor and incorporating changes in software to improve manufacturing performance metrics.
- Working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Familiar with Power BI and Tableau data links and basic troubleshooting practices.
- Knowledge of software verification processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis.
- Advanced SQL knowledge is a plus.
Salary Range: $102,400 - $153,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
