THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual for an entry-level Staff Accountant role to join our growing operations at our Reserve, LA location.
The person in this role is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements for Louisiana Cat.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with monthly and quarterly sales tax filings
- Analyze and record depreciable assets
- Assist with sales tax and financial audits
- Maintain vendor population in multiple systems
- Assist with month end closing duties
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance required
- 0-2 years of experience. Ideal for recent graduates looking to begin a career in Accounting
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organization and attention to detail is a priority in this role
JOB FACTS
- Schedule: 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday in Reserve, LA
- Will require physical movement as typical in an office environment
