Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team. This position will fulfill a critical function within the broader organization. Using primarily operational data, the Sr Financial Analyst will provide decision support and analysis to business functional areas. This position will act with other members of the Commercial Finance team as co-pilots of the business with the functional leaders, helping to brainstorm, model solutions, and find opportunities for growth and efficiency. In this role, they will specifically partner with our Business Development and Growth teams to help identify, model, and measure growth opportunities.
This hybrid role can be based in our Naperville, IL and Chicago, IL (Ravenswood area) offices. A regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.
Responsibilities
- You will be a valued Commercial Finance contact for functional area’s activities, thinking outside the box to help solve business problems and find avenues to drive business growth and cost savings.
- Deep understanding of finance principles and knowledge of their functional area, build and maintain the core financial model(s) to accurately forecast and analyze the business.
- Develop functional KPIs that link back to the financial plan of the company, working with the business intelligence team to continuously improve our reporting infrastructure.
- Work with business counterparts to create actionable reporting and mutual understanding of the financial impacts of KPI trends.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for the executive weekly & monthly business reviews and quarterly board meetings.
- Work with the FP&A team through the budgeting process to find cost-saving and revenue growth opportunities, as well as calling out risks and opportunities that may affect the forecast.
- Deploy strategies into action to drive change in the business, pressure tests business decisions, and influence leadership.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role
- 2+ years of progressive experience in a finance role.
- Financial modeling skills, including from scratch build and analysis.
- Curious, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven record of identifying material operational efficiencies and gaining traction within Operations for action.
- Confident and professional, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- SQL, Workday, Looker, Oracle & other data system experience.
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites.
- Proficiency in Workday or Financial Reporting systems.
- Proficiency in Looker, or other data analytic platforms.
- Proficiency in Oracle Business Suite.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (required).
