POSITION SUMMARY
Manage a book to achieve organization goals via the effective utilization of assigned resources in the interpretation, implementation and achievement of these business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Underwrite technical risks within a diverse set of industries across a variety of products including Primary, Umbrella and Excess in accordance with Arch Insurance business standards and sound underwriting practices.
- Manage a book of business to achieve organization goals via the effective utilization of assigned resources in the interpretation, implementation and achievement of these business goals.
- Develop, establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned wholesale brokers and industry groups in order to successfully manage our business which will require some travel to producer locations primarily in the Northeast region.
- Participate in marketplace initiatives to expand the overall Arch brand and the specific Business Unit reputation through interface with regional customers, brokers and other industry professionals.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the RVP.
- Work independently as a member of a team while building a profitable book of business.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- BA or BS undergraduate degree, with exposure to Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of P&C production underwriting experience.
For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$79,900 - $107,900/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future.
