What You’ll Do:
As a Vehicle Staff Accountant, your role revolves around maintaining the accuracy of our financial records in a dynamic vehicle dealer environment. Your responsibilities will include reconciling vehicle clearing accounts, managing chargebacks, overseeing accounts receivable reconciliations, processing vehicle invoices, and ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards. Additionally, you'll generate monthly financial reports, post journal entries, support audits, and provide backup for administrative tasks. Your role will also involve contributing to special projects aimed at advancing organizational objectives.
Job Duties:
- Ensure accuracy of vehicle clearing and general ledger accounts.
- Review and resolve discrepancies in vehicle chargebacks.
- Oversee vehicle accounts receivable reconciliations and collections.
- Manage vehicle invoicing and sale documentation processing.
- Handle vehicle revenue recognition processing in line with standards.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and post journal entries.
- Assist in audit processes and provide administrative backup.
- Undertake special projects to support organizational goals.
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of recent GL Accounting experience, preferably in a vehicle dealer environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and enterprise accounting systems.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to support colleagues.
- Adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements in accounting practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to pass post-offer drug test.
Compensation:
- $73,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time position.
