This role’s responsibilities will include revenue reporting, forecasting, and annual planning processes for Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), in partnership with other members of the NTAM Finance Team. The role will also execute analyses supporting value-add insights through process improvement and utilization of BI tools.
This individual should be self-driven yet prepared to collaborate and display leadership skills while working with the NTAM Finance team as well as in partnership with other Finance and business teams across Northern Trust.
The Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Partner with the team on monthly and quarterly revenue reporting.
- Implement disciplined processes, leveraging BI tools, to augment trending analyses and deliver business insights.
- Conduct data analysis projects to support ongoing business objectives.
- Build and maintain financial models as needed.
- Drive ongoing efficiency efforts with creative and analytical mindset
The Successful Candidate Will Benefit From Having
- Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred, but other relevant degrees will be considered
- 7+ years in a financial analyst role or similar role with proven experience in accounting, reporting and financial analysis.
- Financial services industry knowledge strongly preferred but not required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and financial applications (e.g., COGNOS, Hyperion, TM1) strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including management reporting and presentation experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Highly adaptable to change with exceptional organization and time management skills
- Previous experience driving strategic and tactical process improvement initiatives is highly desirable
