TITLE: Staff Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
LOCATION: Fully remote (FL or TX only), hybrid, or in office (Vero Beach, FL)
SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant is responsible for carrying out general accounting, finance, and tax activities company-wide. Perform core accounting activities to ensure timely reporting for management, audit, and tax events. Maintain appropriate controls and ensures adequate documentation are properly stored in digital archives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Financial Reporting
- Perform general accounting activities associated with the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger with strict adherence to GAAP
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
- Monitor financial statements to ensure accuracy of financial information
- Oversight of inventory, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset sub ledgers
Audit & Tax
- Assist in the annual independent audit process
- Assist the monitoring of controls and perform internal audit procedures
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements
Other
- Additional tasks assigned by the Accounting Manager
- Assist the Accounting Manager with monitoring controls, regulatory compliance, and onboarding of the accounting function for all startups and acquisitions
- Offer accounting support to all of Indrio’s companies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Ability to take ownership of assigned task and ensure timely and complete results
- 2+ years experience in accounting preferred
- ERP Systems experience preferred
- Multi-company experience preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
