Brief Description:
The Sr. Accounting Analyst, Fixed Assets is a hands-on and challenging role in a rapidly growing well services company. This position offers the opportunity to work with a skilled accounting team while being exposed to many different areas. The candidate will have the ability to improve processes and procedures while making their mark on the development of the accounting department. The successful candidate will: set high standards of performance for themselves and others; be professional; possess leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical background, and work proactively to learn accounting and drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. This position will report to the Manager of Fixed Assets and work closely with the Assistant Controller for our Completion Solutions Organization to ensure development of accounting principles and financial literacy.
Detailed Description:
- Improve and enhance current or implement new business processes which will aid in streamlining current workflows.
- Engage and build multiple relationships within multiple departments such as equipment maintenance, supply chain, external reporting and operations.
- Analysis and review of accrued capital expenditures inclusive of but not limited to; receipts not yet invoiced, trade payables, and open purchase orders.
- Investigate aged or reconciling items within the construction in progress account.
- Analyze asset register monthly to ensure proper classification and management of assets.
- Ensure compliance with and maintain all documentation associated with Sarbanes Oxley Act.
- Responsible for conducting analysis, management and reporting of companywide assets and reporting of future commitments on projects.
- Manage and analyze deposits on equipment.
- Assist in physical counts of property plant and equipment.
- Assist in coordinating external audits and resolution of audit issues.
- Assist in any software implementations or upgrades.
- Assist with any Ad hoc projects or requests related to projects and property plant and equipment.

- Strong time management skills required; ability to prioritize, reprioritize, multitask and be flexible.
- Excellent computer skills to include various accounting business systems, external customer applications, and advanced experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with emphasis in Excel.
- Ability to adapt and adjust in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered.
- Must be able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize under pressure and within timeline constraints.
- Proven team player with ability to work with colleagues at all levels, including senior management and peers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deal with and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Seeking a two-year commitment in fixed asset accounting. After 2-year commitment satisfied rotation into another finance department such as Operational finance, Accounts receivable or inventory will be presented for further development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or accounting related field of study.
- 4+ years’ experience in accounting or related operational role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in business administration.
- 3+ years of managerial/supervisory experience.
Additional Details:
This position requires the person to be able to work in a time-sensitive, high visibility role while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered. Work is primarily in a climate-controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment. All applicants must be able to commit to a full-time schedule.
