Who We’re Looking For
The Toyota Safety Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Safety & Environmental Analyst for our Kansas City Parts Distribution Center.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support 1st shift (8:00AM 4:45PM) facility safety and environmental needs through the administration of, and commitment to our comprehensive safety and environmental systems and programs.
The person in this role will support Toyota’s Safety and Environmental departments’ objective to promote and lead the implementation and sustainment of the Safety and Environmental program at the KCPDC.
What You’ll Be Doing
Safety
- Identify, anticipate, and act upon safety and environmental concerns, hazards, exposures, and unsafe practices
- Eliminate or minimize actual or potential hazardous situations
- Guide and promote safe work culture
- Coordinate site activities that support a safe and healthy workplace
- Prepare and complete safety reports
- Participate and support the Regional Safety and Environmental Management Systems
Environmental
- Prepare and complete various environmental (Haz-waste) activities
Administrative
- Support and manage the site safety budget
- Comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Prepare for and participate in facility audit inspections
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher or 3+ years of equivalent professional work experience in a Safety role in an Industrial, Logistics or Manufacturing Environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Safety and Environmental Hazard Risk Assessment experience including applying assessments to production and/or working floor situations and utilizing data analysis to address and solve safety hazards
- Experience auditing safety and environmental management systems, including regulatory policy compliance with regards to Environmental, Health and Safety
- Experience conducting Safety and Environmental training such as OSHA, PIE, warehouse storage, dock and yard safety training
Added Bonus If You Have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety
- Safety related certifications such as ASP, CSP or similar
- Toyota experience, working directly for Toyota as a Team Member or Contractor
- FRAMP MILES experience associated with person/machine interaction and risk reduction
- Ergo experience associated with ergonomic burden relief and countermeasures
- Serenity software experience
