We are seeking an experienced, highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the monthly close process in accordance with GAAP principles, as well as being a team lead to the accounting staff.

More about You:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Run all phases of the closing and reporting functions, including preparing journal entries, and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, and corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Coordinate the team to complete audit and analysis of each balance sheet account as part of monthly close process
- Responsible for researching updates in accounting rules and regulations, and preparing memorandums documenting company policy
- Aid in the development, documentation and implementation of internal controls
- Recommend improvements, adaptations, or revisions in the accounting standard operating procedures
- Assist with independent auditors to facilitate a successful audit and provide documentation requests, as necessary
- Liaises with other departments as necessary when reviewing GL activity during the month
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including assistance with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests
Experience & Education:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Masters preferred
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 6-8 years of accounting experience
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with ERP type accounting software
Pay: Starting range with bonus: $90k-$110k. Plus up to $1k/month wellness stipend and other benefits.
