The Role: Sr Data Analyst - Operations + Finance
Location: Remote
About This Role:
As a Sr Data Analyst at Hazel Health, you will play a part in our growth strategy by partnering with our revenue cycle management and operations teams to build data products used to inform their decisions and actions. You will help our organization continuously learn about the trends impacting our business while identifying opportunities for us to enhance our data marts and data products. You will be communicating with people at all levels across the organization and will need to be confident in your business and healthcare revenue cycle acumen and technical skills to surface answers and be able to explain how you arrived at your answer in a way that speaks to our stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Takes initiative to create scalable and reliable data products to be used to answer ambiguous questions and generate accurate insights using our data marts and data tools
- Understand Hazel's business model, our metrics that matter, and how to reflect this in our data to contribute to the building and enhancing of Hazel's core data models and marts.
- Explain trends across data sources, potential opportunities for growth or improvement, and data caveats for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive (including forecasting), and prescriptive data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a deep understanding of business needs and questions we need to use data to answer
- Identify ways to improve our data products (like reports, dashboards, and other tools) for internal and external customers to increase access to information
- Support our revenue cycle management, business operations, and other departments
- Document your work and manage changes to data products using dbt, Miro, Google Docs, Jira, and Confluence
About You:
- 5-7 years of business analytics experience
- 2-4 years of healthcare revenue cycle management analytics experience
- Experience working with operational teams within a service-based organization to optimize and understand operational performance. Healthcare preferred.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Everyday user of SQL (Snowflake preferred), dbt, and BI tools (Sigma preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with teammates across all levels within the organization
- Comfort with ambiguity and getting scrappy in a humble, fast-paced environment
- High preference for demonstrable healthcare revenue cycle management analytics, healthcare practice improvement, or data analytics consulting experience.
