The Accounting Manager will provide accounting, financial, and administrative support to the CEO and senior executive team at the Firm, focusing on Firm investments, affiliates, and operations. The ideal candidate will be based in Miami or Puerto Rico and work in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports in QuickBooks
- Manage budgets and track expenses
- Process invoices and ensure timely payment and collection
- Maintain accurate accounts payable and payable records
- Post expenses to various projects and affiliates for future reimbursements
- Prepare expense reports and coordinate with CEO for reimbursement
- Oversee tax, audit, and investor reporting compliance across multiple entities
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders on various accounting, finance, and administrative matters
- Support the Firm's accounting and tax advisors in audits and tax filings
- Assist with insurance placements, claims, and related matters
- Review and understand Firm operating agreements, vendor contracts, and other agreements
- Manage incoming mail, organize files, and communicate with vendors
- Ensure timely filing and payment of licenses and regulatory documents
- Assist with the formation of new business entities
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new employees
- Assist with due diligence processes and review of due diligence materials
- Analyze financial data for hotel investments
- Track financial performance of Firm investments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including experience as an Accounting Manager at a real estate investment, asset management, private equity, hotel management, tax advisory, or audit advisory firm
- Proficiency in oral and written English and Spanish
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
