Job Summary:
KIMC is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst, Real Estate Credit to support the Credit Strategy team. The Senior Investment Analyst, Real Estate Credit will support the underwriting process and assist with portfolio management. The Senior Investment Analyst, Credit Underwriting shall demonstrate strong working knowledge on underwriting, financial modeling and documentation associated with structured debt. The Senior Investment Analyst, Real Estate Credit should be able to identify issues on complex transactions with a business-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Underwriting new deals and performing financial analyses for commercial real estate structured debt investments (including A/B note, senior/mezzanine, note-on-note, preferred equity, and distressed investments).
- Prepare detailed Investment Memorandums and other documentation to support presentation to Investment Committee.
- Actively participate in the Investment Committee for debt transactions.
- Review commercial real estate loan document business and legal terms.
- Review necessary leases, agreements, third party reports including zoning, seismic, appraisal, environmental, and engineering reports.
- Assist and communicate with lending partners on due diligence during the syndication process.
- Monitor and manage the cash flow model.
- Work with the Asset Management team and the accounting team to create quarterly and annual investor reports.
- Specific projects and other functions as required by the Investment Management Team.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field.
- 2-4 years of prior investment banking experience, or commercial real estate lending or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of structured debt including A/B note, senior/mezzanine, note-on-note, preferred equity, and distressed investments.
- Excel and Argus modeling proficiency.
- Strong presentation and communication skills – both oral and written.
- Demonstrates the highest degree of integrity and work ethic, as well as the ability to work as part of a team in office setting.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented individual with the highest degree of integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality work product.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation:
The annual U.S. based wage range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 – 115,000.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location and experience and will take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of health & wellness benefits.
