Position Overview
This role will be responsible for transformational analytics projects such as developing and evolving TruGreen's real-time lifetime value and multi-touch attribution modeling. As part of the Growth Finance team, you will help shape analytics and actions across key customer touchpoints to revolutionize customer acquisition and retention.
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the IT business intelligence team to enable and drive long-term development and evolution of advanced analytical techniques enterprise-wide, as well as work with the IT BI team to support development of systems and processes that enable quick access to data, and empowerment to answer questions and provide actionable analytics quickly. This role will be focused on advanced modeling and analytics, but will occasionally assist with ad-hoc analyses using SQL, Python, R, and perhaps Dax/PowerBI.
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced analytics for customer acquisition and retention optimization.
- Provide thought leadership on and execute vision for the growth and evolution of advanced analytical techniques within the organization, working in close partnership with the IT Business Intelligence and architecture teams.
- Create and maintain advanced data analytics models for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive uses across a wide range of business use cases, including customer LTV, next best action recommendations, and marketing spend optimization to drive efficient customer acquisition.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive growth and change through advanced analytical analyses and analytic techniques to inform real-time decision-making and strategic decisions across the business.
- Prepare and present compelling data-driven stories and recommendations to create buy-in and influence at all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years leading data science, machine learning, engineering, or advanced analytics initiatives required.
- Applied data science in a business setting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced analytical techniques including: cluster analysis, neural networks, decision trees, complex multi-variate regressions, machine learning, etc.
- Python/R, and SQL mastery; PowerBI experience preferred.
- Data science, including knowledge of ETL, data structures, architecture, warehousing; experience with Azure and Microsoft Customer Insights preferred (but not required).
- Working knowledge of goal-driven hypothesis testing, model back-testing, and ongoing optimization strategies; experience with machine learning preferred.
