Position Description
The Sr. Financial Analyst will play an integral role on the finance team, working through complex issues, transactions, and projects independently and collaborating with other finance and cross-functional team members. This role will be able to work and communicate effectively in a team environment interacting with all levels of our organization, international team members, and external.
WHAT we need you to do:
- Organize data for monthly variance and ad-hoc analyses
- Lead cross-functional teams through projects
- Maintain reporting calendar to keep overall reporting groups aligned
- Maintain reporting systems & processes
- Aggregate and prepare information for all monthly and quarterly Board of Director slides
- Present information in formal and informal settings, and using a variety of media
- Prepare and communicate competitor analysis including industry and peer data and trends
- Maintain and expand financial models as part of annual budget process
- Participate in the planning and administration of the annual budget process including detailed review and analysis of divisional budget submissions
- Prepare presentations, perform ad hoc financial analyses for senior management, and participate in various corporate-wide special projects and initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT you need to possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting and Finance
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software with strong focus in Excel; experience with Plex or similar ERP system in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) helpful
- Ability to analyze 3 financial statements
- PowerBi and Vena experience – not required, but preferred
- Demonstrates results orientation, accountability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, project and change management and ability to work cross-functionally
- Effective written and oral communication skills sufficient to communicate with all levels of the organization, high level of autonomy with ability to work collaboratively and good interpersonal skills
- Able to understand detailed financial information and communicate related impacts to various levels of the organization
